Treixadura, Torrontés, Loureira, Lado, Albariño and Godello are the great indigenous varieties that intervene in the making of the white wines and from them the wines take the freshness, the body and the aromas. Bramcellao, Caiño, Sousón, Ferrón and Mencía are the main actors in the reds, tasty and of increasing quality.
Treixadura
Distinguished, harmonious, full, the white variety is Treixadura Queen vineyard Ribeiro, the area is perfect for expressing her full potential. It is irreplaceable in our vineyards and has been primarily responsible for our wines reach numerous national and international awards.
Loureira
Very little, is a native white variety of Ribeiro, is perfect for making wines of great aromatic potential, facet where it expresses its full potential.
Torrontés
Own area; it’s a pretty great selection that provides certain organoleptic characteristics. Commonly used to give complexity to the various mixtures.
Godello
Complete with a very important contribution to the palate of the wines of Ribeiro Variety. Often used as complementary or as a base mix.
Albariño
Variety of excellent performance can be characterized by completeness and somewhat exuberant; is normally used as supplementary providing aromatic complexity and acidity.
Mencia
Variety cultivated mostly in the northwestern Spanish in Ribeiro is a pretty great selection for the development of young wines, friendly step and primary aromatic intense; participates in the development of varietal wines and multivarietal.
Caiño longo
It is one of the most typical Ribeiro native red varieties. It is characterized by its great aromatic potential and not normally used as varietal but is very common as complementary, providing the wine aromatic complexity and intensity.
Sousón
It is one of the native red varieties booming Ribeiro, currently the first in production with a large polyphenolic potential. Not usually found as single varietal but in different proportions as a basis for the development of interesting, different and unusual wines.
Garnacha tintorera
Called more correctly Alicante Bouschet, this variety is widely distributed in different areas of the peninsula. It differs by its colored pulp and dye ability and enters Galicia perhaps by that quality and productive approach, but is not very compatible with the weather so it is currently in the process of elimination.
